Life yet in the Gallardo range.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is coming to the end of its model life, but the company hasn't finished development on the current model quite yet.
Unveiled last week at the LA Motor Show is the new Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder. Rear-wheel drive only like the previous LP550-2 Balboni with a small (read tiny) reduction in power from 560hp to 550hp, Lamborghini is positioning this as a "clubsport" model.
Lamborghini will even provide a manual six-speed geabox (or an e-gear paddle-shift if you prefer) in this specially lightened model, as well as suspension and steering specially modified for the rear-drive configuration. All of this adds up to a 0-62mph of just 4.2 seconds and a flat-out speed of 199mph.
